The year of 2011 gives special commemorated meaning to the Project Management field in China. Project Management Research Committee of China (PMRC), the only nationwide multi-industry professional project management organization, is about to celebrate its 20th anniversary(PMRC20) in 2011, the same time as the 10th anniversary of introducing IPMA 4-level Certificate System (IPMP10), which is for boosting china's project management professionalized and globalized development, into China. The World Horticultural Expo will be held in Xi'an China in 2011 as well. In order to commemorate the aforementioned milestones in the history of the development of project management in China, sharing the achievement along with China project management development and depicting the blue print of China project management together, PMRC decided to integrate the 10th Congress on Project Management in China and the 4th China Project Management Application and Practice Forum into a large-scale international and integrated one-10th International Forum on Project Management in China. The forum will be held on 4-5 June, 2011 in Xi'an China, about 600 to 800 participants are expected.

 

The theme of this forum is "rising project management", which is expected to summarize and review the on-rising project management in China and enhance the role of project management on the coming development of enterprise and china economy. The forum will be divided into 6 parts as follows: plenary session-keynote speeches, six parallel sessions , celebration party, Exhibition on the achievement of project management development in China and the visit to the World Horticultural Expo 2011. The forum will call for papers with reference to PM research and application practice and publish the proceedings of the forum.

 

IPMA Festival of Knowledge in 2011 is a important part of the forum. The working baseline of the event will be:"Trends and Future of Project Management Profession in 2025"
